Krista Warren Yagubyan serves as President of the MiraCosta College Academic Associate Faculty (MCCAAF), where she advocates for equitable working conditions, shared governance, and recognition of the important contributions Associate Faculty make to student success. A longtime educator and faculty leader, Krista also spent 15 years at C

 

Krista Warren Yagubyan serves as President of the MiraCosta College Academic Associate Faculty (MCCAAF), where she advocates for equitable working conditions, shared governance, and recognition of the important contributions Associate Faculty make to student success. A longtime educator and faculty leader, Krista also spent 15 years at Camp Pendleton as a Chapter 36 Vocational Education Counselor, supporting transitioning military personnel as they prepared for education, careers, and civilian life. Her commitment to inclusion extends into the community, where she founded a nonprofit program serving adults with disabilities. Outside of her professional and advocacy work, Krista treasures time with her family and enjoys riding her horse along the Santa Margarita River trails in Fallbrook.

Laura Carlsson has spent nearly 40 years teaching in higher education across three countries. She has taught Spanish at MiraCosta College since 2002 and served as an elected Academic Senate representative for a decade. Her extensive background in education includes substituting, teaching, and coaching students from kindergarten through h

 

Laura Carlsson has spent nearly 40 years teaching in higher education across three countries. She has taught Spanish at MiraCosta College since 2002 and served as an elected Academic Senate representative for a decade. Her extensive background in education includes substituting, teaching, and coaching students from kindergarten through high school. Laura has been active in union leadership since May 2025, was recently elected Vice President, and serves as District I Director for the California Community College Association (CCA). Living in the Riverside County mountains, Laura enjoys horses, nature, and plant-based cooking.

Dawn M. Diskin is an experienced accounting educator, nonprofit executive, and financial professional. A community college educator for over 15 years, she currently teaches accounting at San Diego Miramar, MiraCosta, and Palomar Colleges. Dawn also serves as Executive Director of San Diego Partners for Economic Prosperity (PEP), securing

 

Dawn M. Diskin is an experienced accounting educator, nonprofit executive, and financial professional. A community college educator for over 15 years, she currently teaches accounting at San Diego Miramar, MiraCosta, and Palomar Colleges. Dawn also serves as Executive Director of San Diego Partners for Economic Prosperity (PEP), securing approximately $4.5 million in funding and supporting 121 livable-wage jobs. Her background includes fractional Controller/CFO services, KPMG auditing, and Assistant Controller at Wells Fargo. She holds an MBA from San Diego State and a bachelor’s in accounting from Arizona State. Dawn is a licensed California CPA and CalCPA/AICPA member.

Mark Stadwiser is a teaching, marketing, and project management professional with 25+ years across academic, corporate, and entrepreneurial roles. He's an Associate Professor of Business at MiraCosta College, teaching marketing in-person and online, and founder of BrandHaus LLC, coordinating promotional merchandise projects for Fortune 5

 

Mark Stadwiser is a teaching, marketing, and project management professional with 25+ years across academic, corporate, and entrepreneurial roles. He's an Associate Professor of Business at MiraCosta College, teaching marketing in-person and online, and founder of BrandHaus LLC, coordinating promotional merchandise projects for Fortune 500 brands. His background includes financial and business analyst roles at Cardinal Health, PETCO, Charles Schwab, and The North Face. Mark holds an MBA from San Diego State University and a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Arizona. Outside of work, he enjoys running, hiking, and traveling.
